Mark, a new inductee to the Rotation Solutions team, recently completed his first offshore job under the “RS” banner. He accompanied a senior technician to an offshore facility to complete a Dry Gas Seal replacement on a Solar Turbines C160 Gas Compressor which had recently failed in service. Mark supported the scope by assisting in the machinery strip down and reassembly whilst documenting the job and creating an instructional video on how to complete the job for future projects and a team training aid.
Rotation Solutions got the call on Sunday evening from a valued client, requesting urgent site support. The team assembled on Monday morning to discuss how they could support the request whilst balancing other client commitments. Mark jumped at the opportunity to travel to site and support the crew and was on a flight the next morning.
In completing the scope Mark was able to witness a comprehensive in-field machinery strip down, executed using industry best practice by experienced maintenance personnel. He was exposed to Rotation Solutions digital work execution and reporting technologies. Mark found the opportunity to be a terrific learning opportunity, further building on his understanding of the equipment (including the Solar Turbines C160 seal system), maintenance best practices and site operations. Mark was surprised by how far a small Western Australian business had come with the software that had been developed internally. He enjoyed getting out amongst the machinery and found the experience extremely rewarding.
Mark is proving to being a valued asset within the Rotation Solutions organisation and his core customer is impressed with his conduct.
